The Orangery
There are 4 rooms available for hire at Villa Kultur. We will take a little look at each in more detail below but, without a doubt, the Orangery is our absolute favourite! 😉
This is quite simply a stunning room at Villa Kultur and absolutely perfect for those smaller, more intimate ceremonies where couples will be bringing just a few close loved ones. It has a sense of simplicity, peace and calm and brings the outside in with its tropical plants and lush green garden. The Orangery can accommodate between 20 – 45 people, depending on whether they are seated, at tables, or standing.
We recommended Villa Kultur to beautiful bride Sarah and her husband and they loved it. Sarah’s close family were able to decorate the Orangery with fairy lights and candles and turned this already beautiful place into a twinkling and magical room. Everything was perfect and they were now ready to take their vows. ❤️
After their ceremony, the happy couple and their guests celebrated with a glass of champagne and toasted their future together.
Here’s what Sarah had to say about their ceremony at Villa Kultur:
‘Villa Kultur was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony November 18, 2023. I am so grateful to Leanne at GMiD for making us aware of its existence! We never would have found it on our own.
The staff at Villa Kultur was very helpful, communicative, and easy to work with. The price was great, and they were flexible to meet our needs/wants within our budget. I also appreciated that we were allowed to bring our own food/drinks rather than being stuck with a single ‘preferred vendor’. Plus, it was the perfect size for an intimate ceremony of 10 people; we would have been swallowed up by a space any larger (though I bet it could accommodate a larger crowd, too). You’re also able to use the rest of the venue, which made it easy to privately meet with the registrar in the library prior to our ceremony and have our guests wait in the lobby with a glass of champagne, cup of coffee, or tea until the greenhouse was ready.
The greenhouse space is so charming and romantic on its own that we barely had to do a thing to make our wedding day perfect! My sisters and mom set everything up (placed/set the table, drinks, cake; connected to the sound system; lit the candles, etc.) in less than 30 minutes, with help/guidance from the VK staff. With the candles, soft lighting, the timing of our ceremony at sunset, the plants and a few flowers, I could not have imagined a more romantic setting to marry the love of my life! Our photographer and videographer said that it was the most romantic venue they’d been at, and this was echoed by our guests, too.
Easy, flexible, affordable, low-maintenance AND romantic. I never thought we would find a space that was all those things in one. But at Villa Kultur, we did!”
What else is available at Villa Kultur?
📍 The Garden and Backyard
Villa Kultur has a back garden, which could be perfect for those larger outdoor summer weddings!
Its charm lies in the huge leafy trees and large grassy area. Plenty of room to be outside under the blue skies or underneath the trees where it’s shady, if that’s what you prefer! The garden can comfortably host approx. 150 people standing in the garden at Villa Kultur.
📍 The Ballroom & Wine Cellar
With its beautiful marble floors and huge windows, the ballroom is a great space for a wedding, followed by lunch or dinner for you and your guests. You can organise the room however you wish and even decorate it with things like fairy lights or candles. It hosts a maximum of 62 guests seated or 80 guests standing.
The ballroom is connected to the wine cellar, where you can take your guests for that first celebratory post wedding toast after your wedding ceremony! It has a very cool retro vibe, giving it that edge that you can’t always find in a city centre bar.
📍 The Living Room
Located on the ground floor, the Living Room is a great space to hire. It’s light, bright and airy, with large windows, floaty curtains and gorgeous globe lights hanging from the ceiling.
The Living Room can accommodate between 25 – 50 guests, depending on whether they are seated or standing.
Conclusion
We are impressed with Villa Kultur – it has a room for all sizes and styles, and staff that are helpful and very friendly. We think this is a venue that is worth seriously considering if you are looking for that perfect venue located outside of the town hall.
